Say hello to your skin’s ultimate favourite treatment.
Used for facial and body rejuvenation, microneedling provides solutions for a wide array of skin concerns, from scarring and stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging to pigmentation, hair loss, and sun-damaged skin. A minimally invasive treatment, its age-defying mechanisms have rocketed its popularity, and time has proven its reliability and efficacy.
Collagen. Elastin. Fibroblast activity. Boost your skin’s natural healing response, resilience, and vitality with our professional, medical grade microneedling technology.
Professional Medical Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) is a cosmetic procedure where an electro-medical device (“pen”) with small, sterile needles creates fast, effective, and controlled transdermal penetration for skin rejuvenation and remodelling. The microlesions produced by the microneedles trigger the skin’s natural immune and healing respones, training the skin’s ability to self-regenerate. Natural collagen and elastin synthesis and proliferation provide a wide host of benefits for the skin. Collagen induction has measurable benefits for skin texture, firmness, hydration, and skin tone.
Microneedling as a skin therapy is premised upon the skin’s inherent ability to heal and regenerate itself, improving its novel state beyond its condition prior to activation. By creating tiny, controlled channels through to the papillary dermis, growth factors are released, the skin is oxygenated, and access is granted to the dermis for mesotherapy solutions.
We work exclusively with medical-grade microneedling pens, never rollers, and always regulated. Our pens are certified by regulatory bodies such as the FDA, Health Canada, and CE. The pens utilise single-use, sterile needle cartridges, opened at the start and disposed of at the end of every treatment.
We have selected our devices, designed for precision, to allow the clinician to customize the procedure to your needs, with adjustable speed and needle depth: we then account for and incorporate variations in the skin’s anatomy in different areas on the body.
The needles, produced to medical standards, create over 1300 microchannels per second perpendicular to the skin, minimizing damage to the top layers while efficiently stimulating the papillary dermis and delivering active ingredients.
Non-invasive/minimally invasive, regenerative, natural-looking results, little to no downtime: that’s the current trend in skin rejuvenation – and we love it!
Increasingly, people are seeking treatments that are able to address a variety of concerns associated with skin aging without the need for (expensive) surgery and extensive recovery time. Among the most popular alternatives: chemical peels, stem cells, and exosomes.
Exosomes are small vesicles used by (stem) cells to communicate and transport essential compounds. They package various molecules including proteins, peptides, lipids, nucleic acids, and more, that can promote cellular regeneration, tissue repair, and regulate optimal cellular function. Improving skin health and reducing the risk of environmental damage – as clinical studies emerge, exosomes show promise for the next phase of skin rejuvenation.
The best part? They are emerging as a promising new way of promoting collagen and elastin synthesis, and work together synergistically with microneedling/mesotherapy modalities.
To get the best results from your microneedling sessions, we have three main recommendations.
First, listen to your clinician. hen it comes to following pre- and post-procedure instructions, adherence is key to ensuring safe and sustainable outcomes.
Second, home-care and skin prep. In our experience, microneedling results can be both amplified and extended by adopting homecare recommendations as we provide them to you. We carefully select these products to provide your skin with all the elements it needs to make the most of its treatments.
Last but not least: mesotherapy! While “dry needling” (microneedling with just a glide) can be effective on its own, by adding mesotherapy serums, we are able to double down on specific results.
Mesotherapy involves applying a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other beneficial substances to the skin where they are delivered directly to the dermis via the microchannels. These ingredients provide the skin with hydration, improved circulation and oxygenation, and promote cell regeneration. Furthermore, mesotherapy allows us to address a variety of skin concerns in a specific, targeted fashion, including wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation issues.
It depends: every skin is different!
While some people may see results after just the first treatment, we recommend at least four treatments to see visible results. Treatments are spaced roughly a month apart to allow the skin to heal, and to trigger growth factors at precisely the right spot in the skin’s renewal cycle.
Though results are permanent, they require maintenance. Setting the clock back does not stop time, after all! Depending on the severity of the concerns, maintenance and/or subsequent series may be recommended at certain intervals. For personalised advice, feel free to reach out!
